Donnie Lee Gainey, Jr., age 53, of Ocala, went to be with his Heavenly Father, father Donnie Lee Gainey, and his daughter, Rochelle Marie Gainey on May 14, 2020. He was born to Donnie Gainey and Carol Ann Pasquale Gainey on April 17, 1967.
Donnie, Jr. is survived by his beloved mother, Carol Ann Pasquale Gainey, his son, Jesse James Gainey; daughter Bonetta Lovett (Mike); sister Sandra Gainey Bernardin ( Chris); brother, Daniel Courson (Deborah); honorary brother, Bryan Moats (Judy); grandson, Billy Woods and granddaughter, Athena Marie; nieces and nephews, Katie, Chelsey, Zoey, Russell, Brandon, Danny Jr., Christopher, Levi, Robin and Thomas. Donnie Jr. is also survived by many adored aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Donnie’s occupations were very fitting given his passion for big trucks and the mechanics associated with them. He spent many years building emergency vehicles at E-One and assisted shade-tree mechanics at Autozone.
Donnie was known by many names. His family knew him as “Donnie Jr.” or “Little Donnie”. His friends, those who “rode the boulevard back in the day”, anyone the cb radio airwaves touched, and his fellow mudders all knew him as, “Southern Pride, the Mouth of the South”.
Though Donnie was known by many names and many people, his true pride and love was for the three people who called him, “Daddy”.
Services are planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Donnie’s memory can be made to Hospice of Marion County or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

He has joined my brother in heaven also, him and Donnie was in the 9th grade, I have a picture of them cutting up in class. Everybody in Ocala, around our(his) age group knew him pretty much. He was a good friend to everybody and he'll be missed by many, especially his family. May God give them the strength to get thru this difficult time. RIP my friend! Wendy

I met Donnie many years ago at E-1. He was a great person, and always good for a laugh. After E-1 we lost touch, although we did talk from time to time. I am very shocked to hear of his passing. Prayers to his family. It was a pleasure to call him a friend. Rest in Peace Fellow Dawg!
