Obituary

Dora Edna Rivera Torres, 83, born December 4, 1936 to Julio Rivera and Celia Torres in Cidra, Puerto Rico, passed away December 26, 2019 at Estelle’s House, Hospice of Marion County, in Ocala, Florida.

Dora was a devoted Christian and a wonderful mother, who was a Sunday School Teacher and Choir Member at College Road Baptist Church in Ocala, FL. and visited women in jail to minister them. Before moving to Ocala, FL, Dora sang in the Choir and was a founding member of University Garden Disciples of Christ Church in San Juan, P.R. She was a volunteer for 700 Club and a volunteer at the Oncologist Hospital in San Juan, P.R.

She was preceded in death by both parents and her husband.

Dora is survived by a daughter, Dora I. Campbell; son, Ramfis J. Perez Rivera and daughter-in-law, Maritza; her grandchildren, Ramfis Christian Perez and Marina I. Perez; her great grandchildren, Sebastian A. Pizarro and Isabel V. Pizarro and six brothers and sisters.

A Visitation Gathering will be held from 12 Noon to 1PM, Friday, January 3, 2019 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, 5050 SW 20th Street, Ocala, Florida 34474. At 1PM, Dora’s family will come together to celebrate a life well lived. Dora will be laid to rest in the Good Shepherd Catholic Garden, at 2:00 p.m.
