I had to write again, because I left out , a big part of dad's life, the grandaughters,Dad was in awe about them, he often talked about how smart they were, and he would tell me ,they were just the prettiest and good-hearted grandkids,he talked about them sometimes he would get tears and say how he was
blessed, that he felt so much love,he even said he didn't always deserve to be loved like that.
Dad didn't say he was the perfect dad,he admitted faults, but he had such a heart for his family.

I will never forget your Dad,he wasn't just a patient to me,he was special,I got to keep him for over a year, and got quite attached to him,he told me so many heartfelt stories,of his wife, his life, and always talked about how proud he is of Tim,what a good son he is,and how the girls spoiled their little brother.when he came along.
He lit up,everytime Tim walked in the room, with his big smile,it made dad's day.He always talked about his girls, Julie and Cathy, with so much love.
I knew him pretty well,we were buddies,he had a good sense of humor, we laughed many times, and one of his best memories other than his wife, and his kids,is when the group came to his home,to honor
him in the service.
Tim,that meant so much to him,he always talked about that.
He was always calling his wife's name, like she was there, constantly in his heart and thoughts.
He and I got along good,he rarely ever gave me a hard time, one couldn't be around dad, without really liking him,he called a spade a spade.
He knew he was loved,he talked about his teaching and how Jeannie, and him got to meet each other,he appreciated so much when Tim took him for rides to get ice cream,in the golf cart.
Tim was the good son,he could do no wrong,in his eyes,he felt so lucky to have him ,and expressed that love often to me.
He was really so proud of his 3 kids,he said many times,he didn't deserve the love they showered him with .
May you all find comfort, now, that your love he did know in his heart,
and he loved each of you honestly, with so much pride,I will
always think of dad,I never cld him John,or Mr, Delaney,he was just Dad.
