Robert Alvin Pahl 89 of Ocala passed on April 15, 2019. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on April 16, 1929 to Norbert Benjamin Pahl and Dorothy Flory Pahl. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald and James and his son Michael. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years Adrienne Carol Pahl, son Larry Pahl, daughter Susan Pahl, Daughter Karen Scanehorn (Eugene); daughter Melinda Kaplan (Chet); Daughter Rebecca Mudrack (Philip); step daughter Holly Winebrenner (Mark); sister Mary Marvin (Kenneth) and 11 grandchildren. Robert completed 2 years of Pre-engineering studies at Bowling Green State University, Ohio and 4 years of Architectural and Engineering studies at Ohio State University. He received his Bachelor of Architecture Degree June 11, 1954,and he had the distinction of graduating number one in hid class.Robert served in the US Army and was a Captain in the Corps of Engineers, when he left the Army in 1962. He had a private Pilot’s license and Commercial Pilot’s license. Robert provided architectural design- build services as Robert Pahl Architect and Associates in Columbus, Ohio from 1964-1968. He then moved to Florida and there after operated as Robert Pahl- Architect in Florida. He also was sole owner of Top-Sider Homes of Naples, INC. He then offered Architectural practice and contracting services in Collier County, Florida until 1997. He then built his family home and moved to Hernando County in 2005. During semi-retirement he provided architectural construction services for Escalante resort and hotel in the city of Naples; inspection services for a 9 million dollar project on Marco Island, and many single-family residences throughout Collier County for lenders. Audited and inspected a 43 million multi building, multi story commercial/residential Esplanade project on Marco Island, Florida. He provided professional and expert witness services for several trials and mediations during his career and assisted an attorney resolving FEMA flood non-performance issues for a completed 4 million residence on the gulf in Naples. Having 37 years building experience in southwest Florida. He resided in Florida 50 years, living in Charlotte County 3 years, Collier County 34 years and Hernando County 10 years. Robert loved photography, flying, woodworking, and travelling. He will be laid to rest in Florida National Cemetery at a later date and receive military honors.
