Obituary

Robert William Schuessler, 96, born December 5th, 1923 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Oscar Schuessler and Flora Lobitz Schuessler, passed away August 30, 2020 in Lakeland, Florida where he had resided since 2015.

He proudly served as a pilot with the rank of Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force during World War II in the Pacific Theater.

He worked for many years in various positions of State and Local government in Florida. His hobbies included building and flying radio controlled airplanes, fishing and golf.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy Stephens Schuessler, who died January 23, 2014.

He is survived by his daughters Diane Ryer of Lakeland, Florida and Donna Krell of Tallahassee of Tallahassee, Florida; his son David Schuessler also of Tallahassee; his sister Vera Hodges of Milford, Ohio; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He will be laid to rest at a later date with his wife Dorothy at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
