Susan E. (O’Gee) Vanderlaan

Ocala, FL - Susan E. (O’Gee) Vanderlaan , 68, of Ocala passed away unexpectedly February 24th. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Russell O’Gee and Mildred (Koedel) O’Gee. She worked at Florida Mentor before retiring.

She enjoyed sewing, crafts and shelling at the beach. Sue will always be remembered as a loving sister, aunt and friend for her generosity and kind heart.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Norman J. Vanderlaan. Also survived by her sisters; Katy (Virginia), Karen (North Carolina) and brother Mark( NY). Nephews, niece & sister-in-law; Dan (California), Mark (Mayumi), (NY), Kristin (North Carolina) and Lee (NY). Great nieces; Lily, Mali and Maya.

    Susan's earthly remains will be laid to rest with her late husband Norman at Florida National Cemetery-Bushnell Wednesday, March 20th @ 12:30 pm. All are welcome to attend the interment and can follow the family from Robert's East Chapel at 11:15 am sharp. The family thanks you for all of your prayers and support during their time of bereavement.

Rest in peace my dear sister-friend...I will miss you, but I know you are now in Heaven and not to suffer anymore. I am looking forward to the day that I can join you and we can stroll over heaven together. May God bless and comfort Sue's family and friends during this sad time.
